Jaid Green
['jād 'grēn] yes, like the color.
1. energetic, adaptable, innovative
2. an athletic artist
Sometime in her preteen years, New Jersey native Jaid Green drove across the George Washington Bridge and found herself standing below the marquees of Broadway. Since then, she never looked back. It's a good thing she was practically raised in a dance studio, equipped with a perfect color-coded stage name.
In high school, she majored in Theatre within the Academy for Visual and Performing Arts at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ. She then continued to study Music Theatre at Elon University in North Carolina, along with participating in Elon’s Leadership Fellows program.
Jaid excels in roles that showcase dynamic storytelling and require high athleticism. She is remarkably versatile with an excellent ability to balance multiple roles in performance and leadership. Jaid believes that the artist's superpower is using things as simple as movement and words to impact audiences and change culture. This is why musical theatre dance reeled her in and hasn't let her go for seventeen years. On her days off, you can find her listening to Taylor Swift, petting a dog, breaking her bank account at lululemon, or reading the daily Sagittarius horoscope. She hopes to meet you along the way!

NEWS!

Jaid has spent the past few months at Flat Rock Playhouse as an apprentice! She had a fantastic time performing in the Ensemble of Jesus Christ Superstar and touring the TYA Musical, Slowpoke, The True Story of a Tortoise and Hare as Flora the Fox. Though her time with Flat Rock was cut short due to Hurricane Helene, she is so grateful for the connections she made there!
Jaid spent the month of June at the Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute as the Associate Director/Choreographer of Sweet Charity. She worked under the direction of Jane Lanier (OBC Sweet Charity 1986). She had a fantastic time working with the students, and diving into the Fosse repertoire.

Jaid graduated from Elon University with a BFA in Music Theatre and a minor in Leadership Studies in May of 2024, Magna Cum Laude.
She is so proud of her accomplishments and immensely grateful for the friends and mentors she met along the way. Although she will miss Elon, she's excited for the next chapter to begin.
